Cold Wintery Day

I have a beautiful office, one I’m sure I don’t deserve. I’m on the 4th floor of a glass building facing east in a huge window office of my own! I look directly at the most beautiful mountains Utah has to offer, and I see both Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. Some days I just lean back and look at how spectacular the view is.

Today however is a little different. The mountains are completely hidden behind a big cold gray cloud. As I look outside I see flags flapping wildly in the wind, and there is little snow flakes everywhere whizzing by.

For some reason the snowflakes are not sticking to the ground, even though it’s colder than a witch’s teat. I love when it snows big fat beautiful flakes that cover everything with a white blanket, but today is not one of those days. The ground is bare, the wind chill is high, and all I want to do is curl up and take a long nap.
