Celebrating our anniversary is always so fun. This year July 9th landed on a Friday, which always has a celebratory feel to it anyway. We did the regular night time routine with James and after putting him to bed we made an amazing dinner.
We've been wanting to grill lobster tails for awhile, and figured our anniversary was as good a night as any. And we made some homemade rosemary flat bread, grill garden veggies, and a Nutella pocket for dessert. And some 1999 vintage wine, because E and I started dating in '99, so in a way, we too are 1999 vintage. And the lobster was oh so so good.
More artsy telephone poles and wires (and two birds).
And every year E and I go to Alta Ski Resort on the Sunday closest to our anniversary to eat the most fantastic brunch. And this year was no exception, but this year James joined us.
We were thrilled that he was mostly happy and E and I were able to eat the most amazing salads, scones, waffles, and curry while James happily ate watermelon, worked on a carrot stick, and sucked down graham crackers like they were going out of style. We had an fantastic time and are already looking forward to next year's brunch.
The cold salads are unreal. This year I got three plates of cold salads. Seriously, so good. My favorites are seaweed salad, seafood salad and Italian bread salad.
My husband of four years and some fresh scones from the kitchen.
James was quite happy with his mesh feeder filled with watermelon. But soon he was soaking wet with watermelon juice.
E always likes to have some hot food as well.
James liked working on a carrot stick.
