The cat's out of the bag

Well my mom told the truth. She told my brother and my dad what's been going on, and why she's been so distant latley. I have yet to know everything, but I'm expecting the worst. I guess I'll find out everything tomorrow. My dad says he's okay, and he knows things will be fine, in time.

Wedding Plans

wedding
This week, after a very long hiatus, E and I have made great progress on our wedding plans. We went ring shopping last weekend and found a beautiful ring that he loved, so we ordered that. It should be here in about five days.
We also talked to a man I work with that used to be a wedding photographer. I asked him if he would want to shoot my wedding, and he was game. So, instead of paying a photographer fee, I’m paying for him and his wife to stay in a hotel for four nights, and he will shoot my wedding for free! It’s ended up that we’ll save major money with this arrangement.
E and I still need to book a DJ, officiant, and ceremony music. And we need to figure out how to get a marriage license in California, which might turn into a huge fiasco. On Saturday we went to a local teashop and sipped tea for hours while we went over major wedding details. We talked about tuxes (how to get them in and out of Yosemite), invites, and the rehearsal dinner. We are also looking at wholesale flower shops online, and thinking about our flower arrangements. All this planning is quite fun!
And today I don’t have work, so I’m going to review some of these details with my mom and sister. I’m pretty excited.

Valentine's Eve
Labels:
life
It's Valentine's Eve and my parents told me tonight they are getting a divorce. Not a very happy Valentine's at all...
High Tea for Valentines
E and I celebrated our seven year anniversary on Sunday. It's crazy that we've dated for so long, and because I'm only 24, thats a third of my life! We went to the Grand America for the first time and had high tea. It was quite fun!
First we got tea and tea sandwiches, we each got six.
Then we got scones, more tea, lemmon curd and dessert.

I'm feeling quite sad today

Things are great between E and me. Valentine's is only a week away, and this year we will celebrate our 7th anniversary. It’s my parents, they are both very unhappy. I hope things start to get better. And in the midst of all this pain I’m trying to plan my own wedding; it’s difficult to say the least.

No Tetons
E took this picture on our snowshoe trip, this is as much of the mountains as we ever saw!
Well it was cold, windy, and snowy in the Tetons, but E and I still had a nice time. We ate out, rented cross country skis, and enjoyed ourselves. However, we didn’t ever see the mountains, so instead of taking off another day of work and paying for another night in the hotel room, we came home early. We are planning on going back in March on a clear day, and hopefully see what we’ve been dying to see- Grand Teton.
