Mother fail, Juliet with Patsy Ann at six, seven and she's almost eight!

I finally took photos for James' tenth birthday and realized there were photos from a year ago still on the memory card. Not only that, I never posted a birthday post when Juliet turned six. She's eight in 25 days, and I didn't post photos when she was six. WHAT???

Looking back at these photos I almost don't recognize her. Once she lost all her baby teeth her entire smile and face changed. Now, at almost eight she's tall, thin and her hair is halfway down her back.

Look at this six-year-old goof.
And this photo from a year ago, when she was seven.

Juliet, my beautiful gorgeous girl that is almost eight! I'll do a proper post in a month when she's EIGHT!

Juliet is FIVE!

Guys! Juliet, my baby bunny, is five years old. She's not a baby anymore, she's strong and smart and funny and sweet. She adores art, kitties, riding her bike, playing fort with her brother, taking pictures and thinking about our next vacation.

Some more awesome info:

  • She knows cat facts well, her favorite being cheetahs, leopards and house cats.
  • She can spend hours and hours on art. She loves to cut paper and tape pieces together, draw with markers, coloring books, and paints.
  • She is always wanting to take photos with my camera.
  • She's quite and polite and well liked at school.
  • She loves handwriting but struggles on remembering her letters.
  • She's been riding a two wheeler for a year.
  • She's becoming a better swimmer whenever we go.
  • She laughs, makes up songs and rhymes for every situation, and is super wild and crazy before bedtime.
  • She wears a size five in clothes but only 9 in shoes (small!).
  • She's still shy around people she doesn't see often, doesn't like a crowd, and is more of an introvert than James.
  • Comes out of her shell when she's at home with family and then is crazy and wild and wonderful.

Juliet is FOUR {Patsy Ann!}

I am so behind with blogging, and I'm feeling so guilty. There is so many fun things to share (our little vacation away for the kids' birthdays, fun family activities, and snow! Tons of snow!)

Today I want to share all the good amazing wonderful things about this girl that is now FOUR.

So, Juliet at four, where oh where do I begin?!
  • She is shy at school, doesn't speak much and follows all the rules to a T.
  • Is nervous to say goodbye at school drop off but is all happy smiles when I pick her up.
  • Her favorite toys include her tiger, her tea set and her Darth Vader bear. She also plays with Calico Critters and Legos almost every day.
  • Her best friend is her brother, and more often than not they play extremely well together.
  • Her speech and understanding is amazing, but some things we just can't correct. She calls scuba divers "diva-divers" and our kitty Mabel "yea-bel"
  • Her favorite color is "red for evil"
  • She adores Star Wars and talks about Darth Vader way too often.
  • She still loves taking walks with me, James grew out of walks recently (sob!) but she is always more than happy to take a walk.
  • She is silly and sweet and hilarious. She makes us laugh every day.
  • Meal time is still a struggle. She's picky and just won't eat much. We beg her to take three bites, and thats often all she'll eat.
  • She hasn't napped for two years but plays really well during quiet time.
  • She loves playing outside, biking, riding her scooter, and her Mickey Mouse "bike"
  • She absolutely loves fruit, and will raid the fridge while I'm not around. She'll often eat an entire case of strawberries before I figure out what she's up to.
  • She still let's me dress her (hallelujah!) and I dress her in dresses and cute combos every single day.
  • We still call her a snuggle bunny and she aways says "I'm not a bunny! I'm a human!"
  • Her favorite tv show is Wild Krats and she loves animals.
  • She still talks about Hawaii almost every day. She wants to go back so badly!
  • She loves working on art projects and her little potato people are getting cuter by the day.
She's amazing and wonderful and seriously the best little girl I could ever hope for. I am absolutely wild for this strong headed love.

Juliet is THREE

Juliet,

Today you are three. What an incredible three years it's been. How in the world do I put into words the love that I have for you? There really is no way to describe the joy and silliness that you bring to every moment, and there is absolutely no way to describe the love we, your family, has for you.

James often times says you are his best friend. And you are. You two do everything together from making forts, making messes and making me crazy. Your love for each other is deep and pure, and you both speak of it often. You ask for James first thing in the morning and play with him with your last bits of energy before bed. For the most part you get along better than most siblings I know. What a special lifelong bond you've built.

Your Daddy, oh your Daddy adores you. You have him wrapped around your little finger, you know. Little girls hold a very special place in their daddy's heart, but I feel like you've won the jackpot with the Daddy of yours. He does and will do anything for you. And those tight hugs around his neck? The ones where you just won't let go? He is in heaven when you give him those big hugs.

And me. Your mommy. We are together all day, every moment, and I still smile when I see you. Crack up at your poses, and laugh that you use the word "otherwise" in your daily conversations. There is not a thing I wouldn't do for you. You are happy, and you have an entire life of happiness ahead of you.

There is nothing really to show you who you are at three, so instead I took a video of you today. As you can see, you are wild. And happy. And silly. And smart. And sweet. You are prefect.
Juliet, my beautiful girl. You are loved. We couldn't be happier that you are ours and us yours.

xoxo sweet girl, and happiest of birthdays,

Your Mommy

*I sign James's letters "Mama" because even at five he still calls me Mama the majority of the time. You, however, haven't ever called me "Mama". You've always been a "Mommy" girl, and it is just so perfect.

And a little look back into the past:

More birthday posts to come!

JULIET IS TWO! {24 month update}

Juliet is two! Woot woot!

What an amazing girl she is turning into. God I adore her.
I posted this on IG as well, but here is a little short video of some of my favorite photos I've ever taken of her. This one is double the length of the IG one, with a couple added photos. Of course I used our favorite song for the background music.
So, updates with this little spitfire.

LIKES:
  • Loves getting candies for doing poops and pees in the potty. She is almost 100% poop trained, and will pee in the potty almost always but also pees in her diaper just as much.
  • Is hilarious with James. She loves to bother him and torment him.
  • When asked questions like "do we pinch?" or "do we throw toys?" we are looking for "no, sorry" but instead get her nodding yes and saying "do." This is totally naughty and cracks both E and I up so much we have a hard time keeping a straight face. See below:
  • Loves nuggets, ketchup, fruit, french fries and sausage and egg sandwiches. Everything else is a struggle.
  • Going to bed easily. She is so wonderful to put to bed and it may be my favorite part of the day. We kiss daddy, kiss James and then I rock her and sing to her in her bedroom. After some giggles and two rounds of "You are my sunshine" later I put her in her crib, give her Rosie and sweep her hair out of her eyes. I tell her I love her and goodnight. She sighs and says goodnight. I just adore it.
  • Swimming in the pool. We took her to the indoor pool for her birthday (birthday post to come) and she is a fish!
  • Her dollie, her stuffed animals, her lovie. She takes such good care of her babies.
  • Time-outs. She plays and sings and seems to just love them. Oh boy.
  • Jumping on the air mattress in the basement.

DISLIKES:
  • Trying new foods. She is getting better but still takes a lot of persuasion.
  • Not getting what she wants when she wants it.
  • Her memories of falling of the bridge. Nothing upsets her more.
  • Being helped up or down the stairs. She can do it herself and if you help she'll throw and epic tantrum.
This girl is talking, running, tattling, jumping, dancing awesome person.

Happy happy second birthday love! Birthday weekend post coming.

And hurrah for my last monthly installment of Patsy Ann. After doing Wolfy for two years and now Patsy Ann for two years, once a month, I'm tired. Forty eight months later and I never missed one. Award goes to me. Ha!
