It is National Delurking Week this week! What is lurking? It is reading a blog/message board/etc. but never participating. I don't mind lurkers, but I do LOVE comments!
So, for once, if you are a reader, and have never commented (or if you are one of my fateful commenters) please leave a comment to this post. I'd really love to see how many people read my blog. If you want to stay anonymous, that is fine, just comment, if you would.
Also, if you want to leave a question, I'll try to answer them all.
Thank you. :)
Also, just because it is fun, I'll share some of my favorite blogs here, in case you want to add to your blog list.
Heir to Blair - Mama blog that is so so funny and honest. Her son is only 5 weeks older than James.
Foster Family - Mama blog of twin girls. Plus, she loves photography, which of course is one of my favorite hobbies too.
Betz White - A new craft blog I found. There are some of the neatest projects on it.
Kensington Blue - This photography blog is done by a high school friend of mine. I just love it.

Greetings Jessica- I am a lurking reader, having found your blog through Violet's. (I am also a lurking AG message board member.) I love reading about you, your amazing interests and talents (photography, crafts, cooking, etc.), your wonderful trips, and your loving family, including the dearest new member, James. Thanks for inviting comments from those who don't know you but find all your entries so compelling. I wouldn't have dared adding this note before now but often wished I could introduce myself to you so that I felt a little less of an intruder into your life and thoughts. I also want to let you know that you sound like a fantastic mother and hope you'll worry less about whether you're doing a good job caring for your son. Keep on writing.
ReplyDeleteHi Jess,
ReplyDeleteI'm a friend but total lurker. I love love love your blog and you were always one of my favorite friends even though it was a long time ago that we spent time togehter, but I feel like I know your life by reading your blog. I have it on my internet favorites and love to read it and watch your life as a momma and James. We still have many of the same interests and we are at about the same stage in life, married, houses, having babies!! Yes! I'm pregnant. Only 9 weeks, but we are elated and hear the little ones heartbeat last week. Due August 18. Seem like forever away, but can't wait to go on this wild ride. My friends have started a blog for me, but I have yet to update much because I don't know how! I promise to learn...www.moehlefam.blogspot.com
It will never be as great as yours but I'll try to track this journey of pregnancy!
Lots of love to you and James,
Jessica (Schoeck) Moehle
Hi Jessica,
ReplyDeleteI also found your blog through Violet's blog, and I have both added to my google reader! I love seeing your pictures of James. He's a beautiful boy! I'm a less frequent blogger than you but I often keep your beautiful photos in mind when I post photo entries on my own blog. Keep writing!

ReplyDeleteI read your blog! But you already know that. I love your posts... they are always so well thought out with lovely photos too. :) And your little James is too cute that I have to keep checking back to see him grow!
ReplyDeleteWell, I just thought I'd add that since they blocked blogspot at work, I'm been totally missing your blog. ;) It is a nice bright thing I look forward to. (Much better than the dreary news.) Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are sleeping better. You know me, I can relate to the sleeping thing.
Say hi to Ethan and James!
Allie
hey!
ReplyDeleteI post sometimes and try to follow your blog as much as I can. I love your photography and creativity. All your trips, etc. It's like taking a mini vaction viewing all your beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteJessica, I'm the one in the Seattle area who hosted Violet several years ago. My interest in AG has disappeared, but I enjoy reading your blog, particularly now with James in your life.
ReplyDeleteHey there! I'm a semi-lurker, I guess. Non-lurker by association. :) I love the blog, esp the pictures of baby J!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog Jess! I do comment, but not nearly as often as I should.
ReplyDeleteI must say I occasionally read your blog, not all of them, but at least a few I have read. I know we only know each other through others and therefore don't really know each other, but I find it intersting to read others blogs at times. Hope you don't mind. I love hearing your perpective of being a Mom for the first time. It reminds me of those days.
ReplyDeleteHey Jess! I also really enjoy reading your blog. My favorite thing about it is the photos. :)
ReplyDeleteI actually hate feeling like a lurker, so I think as a result of that I think sometimes I comment too much. LOL :)
I have enjoyed getting to know you through our PMs and your blog and I hope to one day soon meet you in person. :)
Quick question: Are you going to the Denver AGP grand opening in March?
Hi,
ReplyDeleteCount me as another lurker who found your blog through Violet's. I found Violet's blog through AGPlaythings. I go by Len on that forum, but I don't post very often. I've been quite tempted to comment before, but I felt a little like Gertie and was afraid I was intruding.
I love reading your blog! Im on the Proboards! My username is Addyfan!
ReplyDeleteJessica, no, I'm not planning on going to the AG opening in Colorado. It would be fun, but traveling with the babe seems a little much this early.
ReplyDeleteAnd (other) Jessica, I am sooooo thrilled that you are pregnant! 9 weeks is wonderful! Yea!!!! I can't wait to start reading your blog.
Jess, You're so sweet !! I've been feeling really tired on the weekends and resting up for full workweeks, but other than that I'm pretty much ok! I worry something is wrong sometimes because I feel good...maybe the old wives tale that it's a boy? who knows. How did you feel at the beginning? Oh I can only home I have a little one as darling as James! He's is one of the most beautiful babies I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteP.S. My blog will never be as great as yours but I'll try! :)
Jessica, I'm a lurker who hosted Violet back in 2006 outside of Washington DC. (I can't believe it's been that long) Your blog is in my reader and I really enjoy reading about the adventures you and your husband have. Of course my favorite adventure to follow has been little James. You both as so lucky.
ReplyDeleteOh I am loving all of these comments! Thank you everyone. I am loving how many Violet fans follow my blog. So awesome.
ReplyDeleteJessica, as far as my first trimester, I felt pretty good too! I didn't really have morning sickness and only a touch of tiredness (however, I wasn't working, so I could sleep in most days!). I did get more energy my second trimester, so that was good. Can't wait for you to start showing, that was fun!

ReplyDeleteOops. Well, I first commented under my doll Piper's account. She doesn't read your blog as frequently as I do, though. :-)
ReplyDeleteJess,
ReplyDeleteIs it OK with you if a relative stranger (but avid reader and lover of your blog) post a comment once in awhile about something you've written or shared, like a photo? Thanks.
I, too found your blog through Violet's. I love all your pictures from your travels and of course sweet baby James. One of the things I like best about your blog is your obvious love of nature and the outdoors. As a city girl, it's a treat to read your blog!
ReplyDeleteGertie,
ReplyDeleteYes, it is totally fine with me if people I don't know post comments. That is great.
Hi Jessica -
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog ever since you joined AGFMB. I love reading all about your amazing life and admiring all the beautiful pictures you take. I'm looking forward to watching James grow up! My mom and my younger sister read here too from time to time.
