Yep, E and I took our first trip up the mountains with the babe this weekend to escape the inversion and go snowshoeing. At first James was a little unsure, the cold wind on his cheeks was not fun, and Mama pulling his legs through the baby carrier makes him quite mad. But once he was settled and we were walking he went to sleep.
The day was fun with a loop around the White Pine meadow. The sky was mostly cloudy but it was wonderful to get out of the pollution in the valley! And nature was celebrating James's first trip snowshoeing! We got a special treat: baby moose sighting near the river! So adorable.
Baby moose are almost as cute as baby James.

AWWWWWWW! Jessica you look fabulous! Ethan too! (That orange gator makes you look a little like Debbie! Why the gator? I don't know...)
ReplyDeleteAnd James looks very sweet. I wish you were near to hang out. We miss you.

Baby moose and baby man! What could be sweeter?
ReplyDeleteJames is one lucky baby. I know this is just the beginning of all the adventures he will have with you all!
ReplyDeleteIt was so great to see you and to get to hold James yesterday!
Give Baby Man a kiss from me!
Jess- One reason I read your blog is because of the fantastic photos and scenery. I live in Massachusetts and all we have are hills. I'm always fascinated by the different vistas surrounding SLC, from the mountains to the canyon landish areas with rocks and dry, almost desert like conditions. So reading your entries is like a travelogue. Also that baby moose is so cute. Are it's eyes blue and how old do you think it is? Gertie
ReplyDeletewhat a cute hat james has!!!
ReplyDeleteauntie melissa
Auntie Melissa, Yes! Thank you for the hat! With James's blue bunting, we need to make sure he has his red U hat, to show where is loyalties lie!
ReplyDeleteAnd Gertie, Utah is such a beautiful state! Everything is really wonderful here. I think the moose's eyes are brown, and I'd guess less than a year old. Maybe 9 months?
Thanks for the comments!
James is the cutest snow shoer ever! I'm glad you are doing well and on the mend.
