Oliver {Black and White Wednesday}

One of my oldest and dearest friends had her first baby around Christmas time.

"Jessica Red" was my best friend in third grade. As adults we lost touch but found each other on Facebook about two years ago when I was pregnant. Then about a year later, when we found out she was due to have a boy we went in catch-up over drive. She wanted to know all about James and my life.

I wanted to know all about her pregnancy and her life.

When her little bundle of joy arrived a few days before Christmas I was so dang excited for her. Oliver was healthy and beautiful.

Just yesterday Jessica brought sweet Oliver over to my house for a photo shoot. We undressed him (poor little dude) and laid him on all his beautiful blankets. I proceeded to take over 250 pictures of this sweet little man.

I just love him.
All too soon (seriously, it was an hour early) James woke up from his nap. He was quite interested in the baby. And super sweet and gentle.
"Hi Baby Oliver. We are going to be best friends one day" James tells him.
And then James realized that newborns don't do much, other than lie there. And he's off to find something more exciting.

the long road

    What a cute, sweet baby Oliver is! Wasn't it just yesterday James was this size? He looks so grown up next to Oliver!
