In the garden

Yesterday was glorious from start to finish. Partly due to the spectacular breakfast E made (sage, basil eggs topped with feta and garden tomatoes, hash browns and homemade biscuits. Weekend breakfasts are so fun to eat in a quiet house when Baby Man is down for his morning nap.

Once he woke up we went up to Red Butte Garden. We were so happy we did because the weather was PERFECT. Mid 70s, clear, warm in the sun and cool in the shade. It felt like fall. The tall sunflowers and happy Brown Eyed Susans made the garden feel autumnish. Gosh I love the garden.

James was being his sweet smiley self (unless we tried to put him in the stroller, where he didn't want to be, and threw a huge fit). We walked all around the garden stopping often for photos and to let James "walk" and explore the garden for himself.

After two very happy hours we headed home, put my boy down for his afternoon nap, and then joined E's family for a Labor Day BBQ at his family's house. The entire day was glorious.

Prepare for picture overload from the garden:
1 - James really wanted to roll down the hill like the big kids. 2 - Walking along the "floating path" on the duck pond.

Not sure the name of these yellow flowers (anybody know?) but they were a perfect backdrop for a photo.

E's photo he took with his awesome zoom lens.
Such sweet boys.
James did not want to be on the bench, he wanted to be on the path walking.
Another of E's shots with the zoom.
The waterfall in the Children's Garden was a highlight.
