Winter Garden

Every winter, in the middle of the coldest part of the season, we get sick of being cooped up. Each year we bundle up and bring our cameras, and visit our favorite family spot, Red Butte Garden.
Last year we never really had a winter, so our trip to the garden felt more like early spring. But this year we've had quite a winter already (8th snowiest January on record!). The freezing temps mean lots of beautiful ice to admire.
This Valentine is almost ONE! Woot!
In all our years visiting the garden in the middle of winter, we don't ever remember quite so much snow!
My favorite boy in the entire world has been pretty good lately. We had quite a wake up call for about a month when he turned three (horrible!) but he's back to his mostly sweet self.

His favorite thing in the entire garden is watching the waterfall from the bridge. He's loved it for as long as he's been coming, and I hope he never stops to admire it.

E brought his big zoom lens. Stunning!
Adorable boy. Huge snow drift.
Happy winter.
Want to see years past? Here is winter garden 2012, 2011, and 2010.
