David's wedding day!

David, E's younger brother, has been part of my life for over 15 years. I knew him when he was only a fourteen year old kid, so I've seen him grow up in every sense of the word. He's been on many adventures with E and I (backpacking in Southern Utah, snowshoeing to the cabin when we thought we'd all die, and backpacking in the Uintas when I was pregnant with James, to name a few).

Seeing him get married was amazing. For a long time he didn't have a girlfriend and was happy alone. But one day he decided enough was enough and found someone he cared for more than the world. He proposed last May and has spent the last six months utterly head over heals in love while planning his wedding with Heather.

David and Heather asked me to be a bridesmaid, E to be the best man, James to be the ring bearer and Juliet to be the flower girl.
We've been busy over the last couple month with bridal showers, bachelorette parties, bachelor parties, rehearsal dinners, and tux fittings. Everything has been amazing and so fun. The kids were so excited to be part of such a special day and someone even had some pretty good behavior:
James was SO excited about his tux. After getting it fitted and then picking it up, he didn't understand why he didn't get to wear it every moment preceding the wedding. Juliet loved her "princess dress" that matched her sweet cousin's.

Being a bridesmaid is so fun. You get to see the bride before anyone else does, you get to greet the guests, you get to walk down the aisle, you get to enjoy every single party leading up to the wedding. I've been a bridesmaid quite a few times and I still love it.
James got a little front loader bank as a gift for his participation. He was stoked!

Before the wedding there was some waiting, but these two didn't make a peep. Happy and content watching shows on E's phone.
The wedding ceremony was beautiful. Heartfelt and lovely. Can't wait to see the photos, everyone looked just so stunning. Juliet did such a good job as flower girl (picking up every last petal that dropped instead of throwing them) and James handed the rings over right on cue like he was made for the job.

The reception was full of friends and family and laughter which is of course what every good reception should have. My family came, some of E's family that I haven't seen since Chelsea's wedding came, and all in all it was a great time. Plus, they served Lebanese food from Mazza that was outstanding!
Juliet spent the entire night making sure no petals were missing from her basket.
James danced his little heart out. Seriously, this kid can dance. And how cute do the cousins look in their matching dresses?
It wasn't only James that had awesome moves. Emilia did too.

Steve and Connie (my in-laws and the father and mother of the groom) looked amazing and oh so happy.
We saw some friends that we don't get around to seeing often enough. Love this guy.
Both kids got more soda in one night than they are usually allowed in a month.
And James danced,
and danced,
and danced (he's in there somewhere, promise),
and danced,
and danced! Fun was had by all and the event was beautiful. Congratulations Heather and David! Woot woot!
