As you've read all week, E treated me so well on my birthday. It was wonderful, and the festivities haven't even come to a close! Last night we joined E's family for dinner at our favorite Indian restaurant and tonight my Grandma is taking us to our favorite Italian restaurant! So much food! And, I got a panini press that I was hoping for for my birthday. Nothing is better than a buttery melty yummy sandwich on a cold day (4" of snow on the ground this morning and it is still falling).
So I really felt like the card E gave me for my birthday deserved its own post. It was just that special.
E said he went to all of our favorite card shops and just couldn't find something that was perfect. So then he got an idea, instead of buy a card, buy a notebook and fill it with 30 things he loves about me. Thirty things because I'm thirty.
Amazing, no?
And in addition to the sweetest things I've ever read (all 30 of them!) he included 30 pictures of me, from when I was a baby all the way until now. Roughly one a year.
I cried when I read the booklet. I've read it a handful of times since my birthday and I've cried each time. I love it just that much.
This man has my heart forever.
Here are just a few of the beautiful pages:
I am so glad that you had a wonderful birthday, and you liked your card! :)

Hmmm... I think I'll passive aggressively send my husband a link to your birthday posts.
ReplyDeleteI could only wish that I got a card and a birthday cake for my birthday! You are one lucky girl!
ReplyDeleteHoly crikey. E, you just raised the bar for husbands everywhere. You might want to run for cover.
