Yes, two plus two does indeed equal four.
I have been so so so excited to share this news! Today I am 14 weeks pregnant! This means I'm officially out of my first trimester, and therefor the super scary miscarriage time has passed. Phew.
Here are some details:
Due Date is February 2nd. I am super excited for a February baby. The long dark winter seems to last forever, and to put a birthday right in the middle of it, well nothing sounds better. James will be 2 years 2 months.
Boy or Girl? My doctor does an ultrasound at 20 weeks (not until the middle of September) so we have a little more waiting time. I can get a special ultrasound now to tell me the sex early, but I'm not sure I'm ready. It is kind of nice not knowing.
Special Name for this Baby? Remember we called James Baby November all the way up until he was born? We also have a special name for this baby. But it is not quite poetic. We've been calling he/she Baby Dos. (Like #2 in Spanish). Ha!
Were we trying? Yes. E and I were super excited to add another little babe to our family. We were indeed trying. :)
Top names? Still quite undecided. Not sure if I'll post my favorites (or even tell my family!) Ha!
How did we tell our family? I have another post planned. We told our family on Father's Day with a fun easy idea. Can't wait to share.
Any other questions? I'd be happy to answer them.
During my last pregnancy I didn't start this quiz until week 32 or something. I kinda regret that. So, at week 14, here is my weekly quiz:
Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 14 weeks. I reached the second trimester!
Size of baby: I have this thing that tells me the baby's size in relation to fruit. It says baby is the size of a lemon!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I feel a lot heavier and have a tummy but the scale at the doc's office two weeks ago said I hadn't gained a pound. But I've eaten more ice cream and french fries in the last two weeks than I really should have. Oh dear...
Maternity Clothes: Nothing yet. Regular clothes are getting tight, but still manageable. Bought some shorts in a bigger size and I've been rockn' those this week.
Gender: Not sure yet!
Movement: Nothing yet. Can't wait to start feeling these little flutters.
Sleep: Actually a lot better than before I was pregnant. I now can fall asleep easily and if I need to get up to go to the bathroom (between 2-6 times a night!) I can fall back asleep easily, which is a first since James was born.
What I miss: Sushi sushi sushi.
Cravings: French fries, ice cream and anything spicy.
Symptoms: Sciatic nerve pain (which I remember from my first pregnancy), lots of night peeing, and feeling more tired during the day. Other than that I'm pretty good.
Best moment this week: Posting this exciting news on the blog. :)
I added a girl/boy poll to the right side. Please vote, but please only vote once. Can't wait to see what you think.
