Early birthday present equals FANTASTIC dinners!

E's birthday is right around the corner. On July 1st he'll turn 29 and finally catch up to his much older and wiser wife. ;) Come June ever year, E starts thinking about this birthday present. This year he decided what he'd truly love above all else is a Weber charcoal grill that ignites with gas. And, as the birthday boy he declared that he'd really like his birthday present early, because "by the time my birthday comes, summer will be half over, and therefore grilling season will be almost over too." Riggghhhtttt...

So I gave in, and we got the grill early.

E got a gas grill about five years ago for a birthday present and upon much consideration, decided to not get rid of it. Because who doesn't want a grilling station? (Please see exhibit A).

Since the new Weber has made its way to our home we've made some pretty awesome dinners. Ribs, steak sandwiches on homemade flat bread, rib eye steaks with a chili espresso rub, and smoked salmon where we slow cooked with smoking wood chips (yum!).

So, in addition to really really enjoying our backyard, we've also been really enjoying dinners back there as well.
